Green Sky IT Managment Services (UK) Ltd

Green Sky was formed in April 2006 by Mike Hatherall, this was following a successful three years running HW Information Technology Services, where Mike was also the Managing Director, running an IT Support company with backing from National accountants Haines Watts.

HW Information Technology was started by a need to support the local Haines Watts offices based around South Wales; Mike was given the opportunity to run the company, whilst being supported by 3 of the main directors of Haines Watts. The company was a success and had three good years of trading, but then with a change to the structure of Haines Watts, the compnay had to change also, and became amalgamated with another IT Support company that was run with partnership with Haines Watts.

This is when Green Sky was born; Mike had a desire to continue to run his company the way he knew was best, for an IT Support company, keeping the customer needs as the main priority and ensuring that the IT Support is given in the most proactive way possible.

Green Sky continues to this day to support most of the customers that had started with HW Information Technology Service over 5 years ago, and is growing well, still keeping the customer as the most important aspect of the business,

Mike started his careerr in IT when he was a member of the British Army, after leaving school and joining the Army as a Musician, Mike decided that something that was fun as a hobby was not as fun when it was a full time job, and so with the help of the army was put onto a computer course and started to learn that computers and Information Technology was a passion. Moving across to InSoc Mike spent the next 4 years learning all that there was about Internet communications, and other wonderful stuff such as TCP/IP. Mike left the Army after about 5 years and started to pursue a career in the field of IT

After a few small IT jobs, Mike's first big break was to work for IEQ Silicon based in St Mellon's, as the IT Manager for the IQE Silicon plant, responsible for a start up plant, implementing the full network infrastructure and supporting all of the staff. From here moving to the team leaders role at Careers Wales Gwent, looking after all of the satellite systems based in schools and aound the many careers wales offices.

The finally move before starting the HW Information Technology business was to work for a local IT Support company, where Mike realised that there was a gap in the market for a good IT Support business that was run from the top down by experienced IT Professionals, who truly had a love for the industry and not just the amount of money that IT could demand. Mike soon left the IT support company knowing that providing he stayed honest and fair with customers that he could run a highly successful support bunsines.

The rest as they say is history, Green Sky is now doing very well, and has become one of the best IT Management companies in South Wales, there are lots of choice but we truly believe that if you want to work with a company that really believes in building relationships with its clients, and providing a first class IT Service, that Green Sky is for you.
